Key adjuvant needed in the clotting cascade in transfusion management for massive haemorrhage

Instructions for use

1 g ampoule (2.2 mmol or 4.5 mEq) calcium gluconate is equivalent to 89 mg calcium.

Must be given as slow IV injection, infusion in 5% dextrose, 0.9% NaCl or Ringer lactate.

Do not administer if the solution appears cloudy or particles are visible (calcium gluconate precipitate).

Precautions for Use

Never administer by IM or SC route.
