Instructions for use
- IM or slow IV injection (3 to 5 minutes): reconstitute the powder vial with 2 ml water for injection.
- IV infusion (20 to 60 minutes): reconstitute the powder vial in 0.9% NaCl or 5% dextrose.
For pneumonia in neonates, prefer ampicillin + gentamicin.
For gonococcal conjunctivitis in neonates, use cefotaxime only if ceftriaxone is not available or contraindicated.
