Indications

Gestational and chronic hypertension in pregnant women

Instructions for use

Both dosages (100 and 200 mg) must be ordered to allow initiation and adjustment of the dose, as the 200 mg tablet is not breakable.

Labetalol is considered as the first-line treatment for hypertension in pregnancy, with Nifedipine as the second alternative and methyldopa as the third due to more side effects and lower effectiveness. Contact you SRH advisor to determine the best option for your program and context.
