Indications
The Divers Modules part of the Hospital kit is one of the essential support activities.
Specifications
Components
The Divers Modules part is composed of 7 essential modules:
- Medicines for the first-line treatment of tuberculosis and anti-retroviral medicines
- First aid kit in a polypropylene bag
- Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) module
- Small investigation module for viral haemorrhagic fevers
- Module with medicines for the staff's health
- General stationary module
- Basic book kit in English or in French (choice), containing approximatively 12 MSF guides and other reference books.
The other modules are optionals:
- Module with medicines for rape management: 35 treatments for adults and 15 treatments for children. Basic treatment for rape is included in the OPD, AMP, Emergency Room parts, and the PEP module. This module is only a complement of medicines.
- Modules with antimalarial medicines. Depending of the context and area, antimalarials modules should be ordered:
- Malaria rapid diagnostic tests: choose among the Pf HRP-2 tests or the combo tests Pf HRP-2/Pan pLDH.
- Module with basic antimalarials (artesunate rectal capsules, quinine tablets., etc.). This must be completed by one of the following modules containing oral antimalarials in Fixed Dose Combination (FDC):
- Module (FDC) = artemether/lumefantrine (AL) (390 treatments)
- Module (FDC) = artesunate /amodiaquine (AS+AQ) (400 treatments)
- Module with injectable antimalarials: artemether, quinine and artesunate, with injection supplies.

All optional modules and/or items of this part, must be ordered separately. They are NOT automatically sent with the kit.
For items identified as choice, it is mandatory to order one of the two proposed choices: either the English version or the French version of the Library KIT.
