Instructions for use
Keep vaccine carriers in the shade and avoid using them as stools or minibars.
Caution
Some temperature-sensitive products are seriously damaged by freezing:
- Use only ice packs filled with water! Ice packs pre-filled with coloured refrigerant gel are not suitable since they have a freezing point below 0 ºC.
- Wait for the frozen ice packs to rise to 0 ºC before placing them in the vaccine carrier (keep them at room temperature for at least 30 minutes until water is visible inside).
- Place cardboard between the temperature-sensitive products and the ice packs to prevent them touching.
In order to be able to rotate ice packs, it is useful to order an extra set per vaccine carrier.
The 8 Gio'Style ice packs of 0.4 litre can be replaced by 5 Dometic ice packs of 0.6 litre.
Gio Style foam pad:
In this vaccine carrier a foam pad is included. It's adviced if this foam is damaged it should be replaced. It's recommended that the user of the carrier cuts a new foam based on the size of the former one.
Function:
Giostyle vaccine carrier foam pad serves as a protective layer between the frozen ice packs and the vaccines. It helps to insulate the vaccines from extreme temperature fluctuations, ensuring that they remain within the required temperature range for optimal efficacy.
The key functions of the foam pad:
- Insulation: Prevents heat transfer from the outside environment to the vaccines.
- Protection: Shields the vaccines from physical damage that might occur during transportation.
- Temperature Maintenance: Helps to maintain the desired temperature range for the vaccines, typically between 2°C and 8°C.
By providing this protective layer, the foam pad plays a crucial role in maintaining the potency and safety of the vaccines during transportation and storage.
Installation:
Put on top in the carrier, as was the former one.
