Instructions for use

Can also be used for storage at the local level when there is no refrigerator, provided that the icepacks are renewed regularly.

Keep cold-boxes in the shade and avoid using them as stools or minibars).

Caution

Some temperature-sensitive products are seriously damaged by freezing:

  • Use only ice packs filled with water! Ice packs pre-filled with coloured refrigerant gel are not suitable since they have a freezing point below 0 ºC.
  • Wait for the frozen ice packs to rise to 0 ºC before placing them in the cold-box (keep them at room temperature for at least 30 minutes until water is visible inside).
  • Place cardboard between the temperature-sensitive products and the ice packs to prevent them touching.

In order to be able to rotate ice packs, it is useful to order an extra set per cold-box.
