Definition

A ratcheted bar with two inward facing, rounded claws having sharp teeth. The ratchet bar ensures unidirectional motion i.e. opposes unwanted motion in opposite direction.

A large dial used for claw movement and held in place by ratcheting system ensuring delicate precisions but maintaining firm hold and stability throughout procedure.
