CHARGER-INVERTER (Victron Multiplus) 24/230V 120A 5kVA
Form
Combined pure sine wave inverter and battery charger in a single enclosure. Designed for off-grid, backup, and hybrid power applications.
- enclosure: aluminum, blue color (RAL 5012).
- IP protection: IP20 (for dry indoor locations only).
- terminals: 4 x M8 bolts for battery connections, M6 nuts for AC connections.
- dimensions (H x W x D): 444 x 328 x 240 mm.
- weight: 30 kg.
Per piece.
Fit
Electrical Specifications (Inverter):
- input voltage: 19–33 VDC.
- output: 230 VAC (± 2%), 50 Hz.
- continuous power: 5000 VA / 4000 W (at 25°C).
- peak power: 10,000 W.
Electrical Specifications (Charger):
- AC input range: 187–265 VAC (45–65 Hz).
- max charge current: 120 A (at 24V).
- transfer switch: 100 A capacity.
Compatibility & Installation:
- scalability: supports parallel operation (up to 6 units) and 3-phase network configurations.
- battery compatibility: works with standard lead-acid and Lithium-ion battery banks.
- communication: equipped with VE.Bus ports for integration with GX devices (e.g., Cerbo GX) and PC configuration.
- environment: operating temperature from -40°C to +65°C (with fan-assisted cooling).
Function
Primary function:
- provides uninterrupted 230V AC power to critical loads by switching (<20 ms) from grid/generator to battery power upon AC failure (UPS function).
- charges 24V battery banks when external AC power is available.
Operation & Specific Features:
- PowerAssist: prevents overload of a limited AC source by automatically supplementing it with power drawn from the batteries.
- PowerControl: allows the user to set a maximum AC input current limit to avoid tripping external breakers.
- dual AC outputs: main output provides UPS backup; the second output is only active when AC input is available, used to automatically disconnect non-critical loads during an outage.
Limitations:
- heavy unit (30 kg); requires secure wall mounting.
- advanced configuration (like setting up parallel operations or specific charging profiles) requires a specialized MK3-USB interface and Victron software.
