This SPD provides Type 2 protection for 230 V AC installations, using heavy-duty zinc oxide varistors and spark-gap technology for high discharge capability and coordinated Type 2 + Type 3 protection. It includes plug-in protection modules, fault indication, and is suitable for TT and TN single-phase systems.

Function

The surge protective device (SPD) protects AC electrical installations and connected equipment from transient overvoltages caused by lightning or switching operations.
Using heavy-duty varistors and spark-gap technology, it safely diverts surge energy to ground while maintaining coordinated type 2 and type 3 protection for sensitive downstream equipment.
