This kit is one of the three parts of the Advanced Medical Post (AMP) activity of the Hospital kit.
Indications
The Advanced Medical Post (AMP) is one of the 6 main activity focal points of the Hospital kit, and is composed of 3 parts:
- Medical equipment (KMEDKHAE1CO)
- Medicines & renewable supplies (KMEDMKHAS2CO)
- Complementary part if electricity available (KMEDKHAX3OP)
The 3 parts of the AMP are designed for 300 patients, including 50% severe cases, to manage medical, surgical, gynaecological/obstetrical, and paediatric cases.
The support activities of Sterilisation and Pharmacy are mandatory at one of the 6 main activity focal points of the hospital.
Specifications
Specifications of the AMP activity:
- Severe patients must be stabilised and then referred by ambulance to the nearest hospital (2-hours drive).
- Exceptionally, a patient may stay overnight.
- No power supply available
- Full treatment course for “Green” patients
- Triage expected for an estimated 300 patients:
- Red (immediate/critical): 15% = 45
- Yellow (urgent/observation): 15% = 75
- Green (wait/walking wounded): 50% = 150
- Black (expectant/deceased): 10% = 30
- A medical doctor must be present.
