OPERATING LIGHT (Mach LED150FP)+

Image

Definition

A device designed to provide a specialized source of light for illumination of a site of medical intervention. It provides a high intensity, high colour rendering field of light that minimizes shadows and the emission of heat. It consists of an individual light head with more than one light source which include light-emitting diodes (LEDs), reflectors, mirrors and a mechanism to adjust the focus.

Two possible support options:

  • Mobile mount designed to support an operating light that is used for medical purposes in the operating room (OR). This device is intended to be mobile (a mobile stand with wheels).
  • Ceiling-mounted with rotating arms allowing the positioning of the light to any position, in the operating room (OR). If the ceiling is higher than 3.00m an extension arm is required. This type should not be used if the ceiling is lower than 2.60m.

The model Dr Mach LED 150FP replaces the operating light Dr Mach LED 200F, which is no longer produced.

Waste management

The OT-lamp and its packaging contain no dangerous goods.

The electronic circuit boards should be recycled according to the appropriate procedures.

Other parts should be disposed of in accordance with recommendations for their specific materials.

MSF requirements

It is advised to have 2 operating lamps in each operating room.

In case the operating room is not planned for temporary use, mounting a (second) ceiling operating lamp can be considered together with the logistic and medical coordinator. This facilitates disinfection of operating room floor and increases space for staff to move around.
