Therapeutic Action
Antihistamine for systemic use, piperazine derivatives.
Potent and selective antagonist of peripheral histamine H1-receptors.
Indications
Symptomatic treatment of minor allergic reactions (urticaria, allergic conjunctivitis, etc.) in adults and children aged 2 years and above.

Instructions for use
The recommended initial dose is 5 to 10 mg, depending on symptom severity, given as a single daily dose.
Loratadine is preferred to cetirizine because it causes less side effects like sleepiness.
Precautions for Use
Do not administer in children below 2 years of age.
May cause sleepiness, fatigue, nausea or headache.
