Function

The surge protective device (SPD) protects AC terminal circuits and connected loads from transient overvoltages caused by switching operations or indirect lightning effects.
Using a varistor and spark-gap combination, it limits surge energy in L–N and L/N–PE modes while maintaining fast response characteristics.
It includes a floating changeover contact for remote signaling and provides Type 3 protection suitable for terminal equipment.
