Therapeutic Action
Rifamycin bactericidal
Indications
Drug-Sensitive Tuberculosis (DS-TB) in patients who are unable to tolerate oral therapy.
Instructions for use
Reconstitute the powder vial with the diluent supplied.
Must be given as slow IV infusion in 5% dextrose.
- Adult: single daily dose of 600 mg (over 2 to 3 hours)
- Children (< 12 years): single daily dose up to 20 mg/kg (do not exceed 600 mg daily)
Precautions for Use
Do not administer by direct IV route.
Storage
- Below 25°C
- After opening, use the product immediately.
