Instructions for use

Non-sterile solution for topical spraying, delivered via a pump spray fitted with a non-sterile, single-use plastic nozzle (approximately 120 mm in length), for single-patient use.

Remove the protective cap from the plastic nozzle and attach the nozzle to the valve. Each activation of the metering valve delivers 10 mg of lidocaine. The number of sprays required depends on the size of the area to be anaesthetised.

The 10% lidocaine spray provides rapid, deep anaesthesia of the mucous membranes, lasting approximatively 10-15 minutes. Anaesthesia occurs within 1-3 minutes, depending on the surface area applied.

Each bottle is supplied with one single-use nozzle. Additional individual nozzles, specific to Xylocaine 10mg Spray® (SDDCNOZZ120), must be ordered separately.

Precautions for Use

Avoid contact with the eyes. In case of accidental spraying, rinse the eyes immediately with plenty of water.

Do not spray on the cuff of the endotracheal tube, as this may cause small perforations, leading to leaks and loss of cuff pressure.

Do not share nozzles between patients or reuse them, even for the same patient, to prevent the risk of cross-contamination.

This product is non-sterile and is not recommended for procedures requiring aseptic technique.

Do not use to lubricate urinary catheters (use LUBRICANT, water based, sterile, unidose - SMSULUBRW05S, or sterile water) or gastric tubes (use drinking water).
