Definition

The lipid-based nutrient supplement is a ready-to-use product intended for the prevention of Moderate Acute Malnutrition (MAM) in pregnant and breastfeeding women and girls. It also improves the healthy development of the foetus and the infant.

Consumed as a supplement to a regular diet, this product allows to balance the daily intake of micronutrients.

Vegetable oils (rapeseed, palm), defatted soy flour, skimmed milk powder, peanuts, sugar, maltodextrin, vitamin and minerals premix.

Does not contain any ingredients of animal origin, except milk products.

Packaging & Labelling

Primary and secondary packaging must protect the hygienic and nutritional qualities of the product during transport, handling, storage under MSF field conditions.

  • Primary packaging (unit packaging): 75 g aluminium sachet
  • Secondary packaging: box of 168 sachets (net weight: 12.6 kg, gross weight:13.5 kg)

Instructions for use

This product does not require dilution or cooking. Its packaging facilitates direct consumption.

Recommended dosage: 1 sachet (75g) / woman / day

This product should not be shared with other family members.

Do not use in case of allergy to peanuts, soya or dairy products.

Storage

  • Below 30ºC, Protect from sunlight ‐ Protect from humidity
  • Shelf life: 24 months from the manufacturing date stated on each sachet.
  • After opening, the product should be consumed within 24 hrs.
