LIGHTNING-SURGE PROTECTION type 1 (Dehn920249) 20Ka 180V

Form

This SPD module provides coordinated lightning and surge protection for one signal pair, with automatic voltage adaptation (actiVsense) and RFID LifeCheck monitoring.

  • nominal system voltage (Un): 0–180 V

  • maximum continuous operating voltage (Uc): 180 V DC / 127 V AC

  • voltage protection level (Up): ≤ UN + 53 V (line-line for D1), ≤ 550 V (line-PG)

  • short-circuit withstand (isccr): equal to nominal current IL = 100 mA

  • nominal discharge current (In): 20 kA total (C2), 10 kA per line

  • response time: not explicitly stated (signal SPD, C2/C3 tested)

  • spd type / class: class M (IEC/EN 61643-21)

  • imax / iimp: 9 kA total (D1), 2.5 kA per line

  • number of poles: protection for 1 signal pair (2 wires + PG path)

  • weight: 23 g

Per piece.

Fit

  • installation location: mounted on DEHN BXT BAS / BSP BAS 4 base part

  • Ac system compatibility (earthing): earthing via BXT BAS / BSP BAS 4 base

  • mounting type: pluggable module into base (DIN-rail base)

  • indoor IP20 (plugged-in)

Function

This SPD module protects one signal pair against lightning currents and surge voltages. It automatically detects the operating voltage of the signal line and dynamically adjusts its protection level (actiVsense technology). The device combines D1, C2 and C3 test class performance, with both common-mode and differential-mode protection. The integrated LifeCheck system enables condition monitoring via RFID, allowing predictive maintenance.
