- Requires free space for maintenance access.
- Installed away from flow disturbances such as elbows, valves, or pumps; minimum straight length recommended is five times the pipe diameter.

Function
- Operation and Control:
- Protects pumps by switching electrical circuits when liquid flow decreases or stops.
- Enables sequential control of pump operation.
- Allows automatic starting of auxiliary pumps and machines.
- Activates alarm and signalling systems in case of insufficient or interrupted flow.
- Disconnects water flow cooling processes and associated equipment when flow is interrupted.
- Switches off sprayers when air supply fails in heating coil systems.
- Disconnects machine tools when freezing oil flow is interrupted.
