SLEEPING BAG

Definition

Sleeping bag, intended for MSF teams.

Comes in 3 versions: for temperate, cold or extremely cold climate.

With protective bag for storage.

Specifications

Filling

  • Synthetic (easy to wash and to dry; does not rot, cheaper than a down sleeping bag)
  • Several filling compartments

Shape

  • ALIFSLEE05-: rectangular, with zip on 2 sides, allowing it to be turned into a blanket
  • ALIFSLEE12- and ALIFSLEE30-: mummy bags, more suitable for very cold climates

Nominal temperature

The lowest temperature at which the sleeping bag will permit a reasonably comfortable night:

  • ALIFSLEE05-: - 5 ºC
  • ALIFSLEE12-: - 12 ºC
  • ALIFSLEE30-: - 30 ºC

Dimensions

Bags for one person:

  • ALIFSLEE05-: 200 x 75 cm
  • ALIFSLEE12-: 230 x 75/35 cm
  • ALIFSLEE30-: 230 x 75/35 cm

All the sleeping bags are supplied with an inner liner.

Instructions for use

Using a liner gains up to 3 ºC of warmth and avoids repeated washing of the bag itself.

Using an insulating sleeping mat protects against humidity from below and raises the temperature in the sleeping bag.

Sleeping bags and mats are provided by MSF when needed. They belong to MSF and must be left with the missions when the international staff leaves.
