Therapeutic Action

Fast-acting local anaesthetic, para-aminobenzoic acid derivative, for ophthalmological use

Indications

Short-term anaesthesia of conjunctiva and cornea

Instructions for use

Sterile single-dose eye drops for ocular use only.

The local anaesthetic takes hold within one minute of instillation and lasts for 5 to 10 minutes.

Unidose eye drops should be used for a single patient, for a single instillation, and should be discarded after this instillation.

MSF supplies unidose eye drops rather than 5 or 10 ml bottles to avoid contamination.

Storage

  • Below 25°C - Protect from sunlight
  • Do not freeze.
  • Shelf life: 15 months
  • After opening, discard the single-dose after use. Do not reuse an opened unidose for further administration.
