Therapeutic Action

Combination of two antibacterials

The addition of clavulanic acid to amoxicillin extends its spectrum of activity to cover beta-lactamase producing Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms, including some Gram-negative anaerobes.

Indications

Erysipelas and cellulitis

Necrotizing infections of the skin and soft tissues

Severe postpartum upper genital tract infection

Instructions for use

Reconstitute the powder vial with 20 ml of water for injection or 0.9% NaCl.

Must be given as slow IV injection or infusion.

Precautions for Use

Not compatible with dextrose

Storage

  • Below 25°C
  • After reconstitution, use the solution immediately
  • Discard any unused open vial.
