Therapeutic Action

Penicillin antibacterial

Indications

Severe bacterial infections, in combination with other antibacterials

Severe typhoid fever if the strain is susceptible

Instructions for use

Reconstitute the powder vial with 5 ml of water for injection.

Must be given preferably as slow IV injection or IV infusion in 0.9% NaCl or 5% glucose.

Precautions for Use

Use IM route only if correct IV administration is not possible.

In neonates, it must be given as slow IV injection or IV infusion only.

Storage

  • Below 25°C - Protect from sunlight
  • Once reconstituted, use the solution immediately.
