Therapeutic Action

Antihypertensive vasodilator

Indications

Hypertension in pregnancy, in case of severe symptoms or when oral treatment is not possible.

Instructions for use

Reconstitute the 20 mg powder vial with 1 ml of water for injection.

The reconstituted solution must be given as slow IV injection in 0.9% NaCl or as IV infusion in 0,9% NaCl or ringer lactate.

Hydralazine and dihydralazine are similar (same indications, same dosage).

Possible alternative: labetalol injectable

Precautions for Use

Use only 0.9% NaCl or ringer lactate as infusion vehicle (not compatible with glucose and other solutions).

Storage

  • Below 25°C - Protect from sunlight
  • After reconstitution, use the solution immediately.
