Third generation cephalosporin antibacterial

Indications

Typhoid fever

Acute cystitis in girls over 2 years, pregnant women and lactating women

Acute pyelonephritis in adults

Cervicitis and urethritis due to Neisseria gonorrhoeae

Instructions for use

For the treatment of genital gonorrhoea, an antibiotic active against chlamydia (preferably azithromycin) should be systematically ordered together with cefixime, since both infections must be treated simultaneously.

The oral suspension is intended for paediatric use. To be reconstituted with filtered water.
