Therapeutic Action
Macrolide antibacterial
Indications
Alternative to first-line antibiotic treatment for:
- Louse-borne relapsing fever, leptospirosis
- Acute otitis media, pharyngitis and sinusitis; diphtheria, pertussis, atypical pneumonia due to Mycoplasma pneumoniae or Chlamydophila pneumoniae
- Furuncle, leg ulcers
- Cervicitis and urethritis due to Chlamydia trachomatis (in combination with a treatment for gonorrhoea), donovanosis, chancroid, lymphogranuloma venereum, syphilis
- Trachoma
Neonatal conjunctivitis due to Chlamydia trachomatis
Completion of treatment following parenteral therapy with erythromycin
Instructions for use
The oral suspension is intended for paediatric use. To be reconstituted with filtered water.
Storage
- Below 25°C ‐ Protect from sunlight ‐ Protect from humidity
- Reconstituted suspension: keep refrigerated between 2ºC and 8°C for up to 14 days.
