Fixed-dose combination (FDC) of two antiretrovirals, protease inhibitors (PI)

Indications

HIV infection

Lopinavir/Ritonavir combinations may be used as an alternative when Darunavir/Ritonavir cannot be used.

The combination of Darunavir/Ritonavir is the preferred boosted protease inhibitor option for ART when a protease inhibitor is required.

Instructions for use

LPV 40mg / r 10mg, granules, sachet (DORALPVR1G-) is intended for paediatric use:

  • pour the granules into a small amount of breast milk, water or soft foods
  • administer immediately (within a maximum of 2 hours after preparation).

For adults, DRV eq. 400mg base / r 50mg, tablet (DORADRVR45T) is first choice over LPV 100mg / r 25mg and LPV 200mg / r 50mg, tablets.
