Indications

Treatment and secondary prophylaxis of toxoplasmosis in immunodeficient patients, in combination with sulfadiazine or clindamycin

Primary prophylaxis of toxoplasmosis in immunodeficient patients, in combination with dapsone (if co-trimoxazole cannot be used)

Second-line treatment of isosporiasis in immunodeficient patients (if co-trimoxazole cannot be used)

Instructions for use

Depending on the indication, pyrimethamine is used in combination with sulfadiazine, clindamycin or dapsone.

It is recommended that calcium folinate be ordered simultaneously to prevent the deficiency of folinic acid induced by pyrimethamine.
