Indications

Uncomplicated P. falciparum malaria, when artemisinin-based combinations cannot be used.

Instructions for use

Strength and dose are expressed in salts. The dosage is the same for all quinine salts (formate, sulfate, hydrochloride, dihydrochloride), except for quinine bisulfate which contains less active ingredient than sulfate and requires special dosage.

In areas where quinine resistance is reported, combine with oral doxycycline or clindamycin.
