Indications

Acute and chronic psychosis and acute manic episode, in case of intolerance or treatment failure with other antipsychotics (e.g. haloperidol)

Instructions for use

It is recommended to order biperiden (or trihexyphenidyl) together with risperidone, to be given in the event of extrapyramidal disorders.

Precautions for Use

Administer with caution and carefully monitor use in elderly patients, patients with hypokalaemia, hypotension, renal or hepatic impairment, history of seizures.

Do not administer to patients with cardiac disorders, dementia, Parkinson's disease and history of neuroleptic malignant syndrome.
