Instructions for use

Could be washed and re-used if needed.

Never re-use a slide used for Mycobacterium Tuberculosis since the staining makes them difficult to wash and can lead to false positive results.

In case of humidity causing fungus to grow on the slide, wash them with a sulphuric chromium mix and store them in a hermetically sealed plastic box containing Silicagel.

Storage

  • Store in a dry and well ventilated place.
  • Guaranteed minimum remaining shelf life at delivery: 1/3 of total shelf life

MSF requirements

Washed slide, with any grease removed (necessary for a proper examination of the smears).

Slide with rough edges as slides with cut edges do not allow a good spreading of the smears.
