RESPIRATOR FIT TEST

Definition

Kit allowing to qualitatively assess the adequacy of a FFP2 or N95 respirator by exposing the wearer to a test agent. If the wearer does not detect the presence of the test agent, the test is successful and respirator fit has been demonstrated.

This kit is used for:

  • select the respirator which is best fitted to each user's face by carrying out fit testing with the supplied samples
  • make sure that respirators are correctly worn by the concerned staff members by running a fit testing program

Precautions for Use

  • Make sure to order some boxes of respirators for the testing, different shapes and sizes.
  • Be careful to avoid hyperventilation.
  • If there is evidence of solution contamination, immediately discard the bottle.

Maintenance

  • Rinse the nebulizers with warm water to prevent clogging and shake dry
  • Wipe out the inside of the hood with a damp cloth or paper towel to remove any deposited solution
