Precautions for Use
- The use of gas burner can cause severe accidents: fires, burns, explosions. Provide a fire extinguisher or a sand bucket near by.
- Always fasten securely gas bottles before transporting them to prevent any risk of explosion.
- Before installing a pressure reducer, check that it is adapted to the gas used: 28/30 mbar for butane (the least volatile), 37 mbar for propane (the most volatile, but frost-proof), and 30 mbar for butane/propane mixture (the most widespread outside Europe).
- Before opening the tap of the gas bottle, always check that the tap of the burner is closed.
- Before removing the pressure reducer to replace the bottle, check its tap is completely turned off.
Maintenance
- Regularly clean the burner with soapy water (make sure it is well dry before lighting it).
- Regularly check the state of the gas pipe and replace it either when its expiry date is reached or in case of the slightest doubt.
- Regularly check the absence of leaks as well as the tightening of the various elements.
MSF requirements
Suitable for all the autoclaves, including the 90 litres one which requires a 8000 W power to quickly reach 121º and limit the sterilization cycle time.
Alternative to the modified kerosene burner.
