Instructions for use

Before installing the antenna, the radio must be turned off and the power cable must be disconnected.

Install the antenna at the top of a mast, as high as possible. You may use a mast on which a folded dipole HF antenna is already installed, provided there is no contact between the 2 antennas.

The antenna can be attached to the mast in two ways with the mounting kit supplied:

  • either at the top of a 40 - 54 mm diameter mast (the connecting cable runs inside the mast)
  • or laterally at the end of a 20 - 54 mm diameter mast (the connecting cable runs outside the mast). In this case, attach the cable to the mast to prevent the connector carrying the weight of the cable.

Be careful when raising or lowering a mast equipped with an antenna, as the radials of the antenna are easily damaged.
