Instructions for use
Follow the instructions for installation described in the user manual.
Contact your Technical Department before using the new SIM card (non activated).
Fragile equipment, to be handled with care.
To be transported as hand luggage.
It is recommended to supply the BGAN with a 12V DC battery. In case of AC power supply, use a voltage limiter.
The connection of a fax machine is possible. For any information, please contact your technical department.
In the event of permanent set-up, use the 30 metre coaxial cable rather than the 10 metre cable which is less strong.
WARNING
The antenna of the BGAN is a radiating element, and as such is potentially dangerous. In order to prevent accidents related to micro-waves radiation, it is essential to maintain a distance of at least 1 metre between the front of the antenna (radiation area) and the user.
Do not handle the antenna during a telephone communication (voice or data). If the position of the antenna is not satisfactory, interrupt the communication ("hang up") before adjusting the antenna.
The rules are simple but ignoring them can have serious consequences, particularly on the eyes (damage to the retina and/or the cornea).
In case of incident (even without obvious damage), seek medical advice as quickly as possible and carry out an ophthalmologic examination.
