Reusable container, used for the disposal of sharps waste (needles, lancets, scalpels, blades, small empty vials and ampoules, broken microscope slides…) with the exception of auto-disable syringes and long needles (e.g. for lumbar puncture).

  • Insertion opening with notch allowing to remove needles from Luer and Luer lock syringes using only one hand

This container was developed by MSF for safe disposal of sharps waste in health settings.

A sharps pit is a necessary counterpart to the use of this container.

This container is not suitable for auto-disable syringes (as they are too large for the system), nor for contaminated waste (compresses...).
