Powder reagent used to prepare auramine staining with potassium permanganate for the microscopic detection of mycobacteria.
Preparation of auramine staining can be be considered in routine laboratories, after a good quality staining is achieved. This is much cheaper compared to using a ready to use kit.

To be used with a fluorescent microscope, hydrochloric acid, potassium permanganate, ethanol and phenol (see related articles below).
