Definition

Individual plastic bracelet used for registering and identifying the beneficiaries of a feeding programme. It is a slender, thin, and soft plastic band, with a self-locking device.

Instructions for use

Use a different colour for each type of feeding programme, for example:

  • red for in-patient feeding centre
  • blue for out-patient feeding centre

Foresee ball point pens or fine permanent markers.

Do not tighten the bracelet excessively (the risk of removal is reduced if fitted to the ankle).

Check the integrity of the bracelet during consultations.

When the patient is discharged, destroy the bracelet to prevent any re-use.
