AMBULANCE medicalized 4x4 (HZJ78/GDJ78)

Definition

Medicalised ambulance based on an MSF standard vehicle type HZJ78/GDJ78.

The essential part of the conversion consists of the integration of a cell giving space to a functional arrangement and the separation of the steering cabine. The concept and composition of it all allows for a proper cleaning and desinfection of the cell.

The cell or ambulance unit is exclusively intended for medical use.

Capacity of the medical unit:

  • Transport of a patient lying on a stretcher.
  • Two seats, one for a medical staff member and another for an eventual accompanying passenger.

Capacity in the steering cabin:

  • seats for the driver + 2 places

Different levels of medical equipment are defined to allow the stabilisation of the patient, if needed.

Following the example of a standard vehicle, the ambulance incorporates the standard preparation of a vehicle by your technical department, such as the roof, spare wheel(s), hi-lift jack, etc.

Description:

Medical compartment:

The 'medical' cell or unit is composed of a floor, lateral panels, a dividing wall separating the equiped cabin with a sliding window, as well as a ceiling coverage made of materials that are cleanable and do not rot.

By default, the unit is equiped with the following equipment:

  • A multipositionable stretcher, with mattress and its system of anchorage based on 3 points where it is fixed to a platform of stainless steel. This makes it possible to slide the scoop stretcher (optional) in its inner part and fix it with a quick blocking system.
  • A piece of furniture in the corner which could be put to multiple usages: it could hold an oxygen concentrator and a bag of equipment in its lower part. It integrates a table with multiple arrangements on its upper part.
  • Three perfusion systems on the ceiling with sliding hooks.
  • A fixing system for 2 botttles of oxygen (not supplied with the ambulance).
  • A needle container, a box for gloves and a waste bin of 3 liters.
  • A holding net fixed on the ceiling.
  • A semi-transparant layer up till 2/3rd of the height on the windows.

Materials:

  • partitions made of materials that can be cleaned and do not rot.
  • table and structures of stainless steel.

Accessories and equipment:

  • The equipment such as the jack, wheel brace, driver toolkit, telecommunication equipment and electrical system and installation are all located in the drivers cabin. The medical unit is solely reserved for medical usage.

Electricity - equipment and installation:

  • Four (4) led lights on the ceiling.
  • One (1) ventilation fan with reversible roof operated from the drivers cabin.
  • One (1) fixed revolving light operated from the drivers cabin.
  • Two (2) 12 volt sockets, sigarette lighter style with standard build-in female sockets.
  • Precabling for an eventual installation of 230 V power supply, including two (2) build-in female sockets of European type.
  • Additional battery of 12 V - 55AH OPTIMA installed parallel for the power supply of the equipment in the medical compartment.
  • Starter battery replaced by a 55AH OPTIMA battery.
  • Relay with voltage threshold to avoid a complete discharge of the starter battery.

Optional equipment and installations:

  • A converter 12 volt - 230 volt
  • An external charger with 230 volt socket.

The precabling allows for the installation of the this equipment in a later stage.

  • simple electronical siren
  • electronical siren for public
  • label "Ambulance" (colour to be specified)
  • Cross "Ambulance" (type, shape and colour to be specified)

Optional medical equipment:

Consult your medical referent to determine which equipment would be convenient for your operations, of all the different options.

The spaces at the designed locations remain available for possible additions of medical equipment. The fixations should allow to fasten the equipment and secure it.
