Instructions for use
Installation by a qualified person is recommended.
It is essential to read the installation manual and follow the assembly instructions to the letter.
After assembly the cold room must be tested to assess its performance (refer to your technical department).
Protect the equipment by installing a voltage regulator/stabiliser (PELEVOLS2025).
The main issue with a cold room is that it stores a large quantity of temperature-sensitive products in one place. Minimise risk with the following measures:
- Make a contingency plan in case of power cuts, breakdowns etc.
- Increase the holdover time. Two possible solutions:
- Place water containers in the cold room. With 500 litres distributed in 20-litre containers the holdover time is increased to about 5 hours.
- Instal a charger/inverter (12 V/2500 W) with 3 x 120 Ah batteries, which will power the cold room for around 90 minutes.
- Use multiple temperature monitoring devices: Freeze-tag, LogTag.
- Train personnel in correct use and monitoring.
- Provide an emergency generator.
Stock may be kept on pallets (for vaccination campaigns) or on shelves.
Do not place stock directly in the airflow from the cooling units, as it could freeze.
For all information concerning storage and handling of the products to be stored, refer to the "preliminary remarks" at the start of this family.
Affix a temperature recording form (ALSTTEMP41E) to the door.
Caution
The cooling units should not be started until 24 hours after transportation to allow the lubricating oil to drain back into the compressors. Never tilt the units beyond 45°.
