- Max. weight patient: 100kg
- Size: 89 cm x 194 cm x 7 cm
Instructions for use
- Place the compressor flat or hang it with hooks on the end of the bed.
- Place the overlay on the mattress, holding it in place by sliding the two 50cm flaps on the edges of the overlay under the mattress at the head and foot of the bed.
- Connect the compressor to the overlay using the two hoses. Check that the hoses are not kinked or caught under the mattress.
- Set the pressure to maximum. Connect the compressor to the electrical supply and set the switch to ‘'ON''. The green LED will light to indicate that the compressor is working.
- Wait 20 minutes for the overlay to inflate; this can be done with the patient on the mattress.
- Adjust the pressure so that you can place two fingers between the patient's buttocks and an uninflated part of the mattress. The following table provides an idea of the pressure settings according to the weight of the patient.
Pressure | Weight (kg) | Pressure | Weight (kg) |
1 | 30 | 5 | 70 |
2 | 40 | 6 | 80 |
3 | 50 | 9 | 90 |
4 | 60 | 8 | 100 |
Precautions for Use
Warning: to maintain its efficiency, the overlay must be covered with an elastic bedsheet
Maintenance
Between patients, the mattress must be cleaned and disinfected with a detergent/disinfectant for surfaces/non-invasive medical equipment. Prepare use-solution in concentration required. Always read the label and product information before use. Do not mix with other products. Make sure to wet surfaces completely, use a wipe or towel, keep them wet for the whole exposure time.
In the event of a puncture, deflate the overlay and use the repair kit supplied with the overlay. Degrease the vinyl cover to assist adhesion.
