Instructions for use
1 g magnesium sulfate contains approximately 4 mmol (8 mEq) magnesium.
Must be given as IM injection or IV infusion in 0.9% NaCl.
To be administered by experienced staff.
It is recommended to simultaneously order injectable calcium gluconate (magnesium sulfate antagonist).
Precautions for Use
Do not administer to patients with severe renal impairment.
