BULB LED E27

Specifications

Energy saving bulbs are more and more becoming available in LED versions, be it mainly for the lower wattage models.

Advantages of LED bulbs

  • Lower pollution when discarded.
  • Life expectancy that can go up to 25000 hours

Note: a good quality LED bulb has minimal 90 Lumen/watt output. This is higher than a CFL but the same as a good quality tubelight. LED efficiency is expected to go up in the near future.

As for compact fluorescent, LED bulbs come in a wide variety of qualities. Especially at the local market, quality can be poor. Quality is proportional with the light output, especially over time as LED bulbs can diminish quickly in light output. Quality is also life expectancy and light colour. LED's are often very ‘cool'.
