KIT, PUMP, LATRINE DESLUDGING, 2", MANUEL

Definition

Manual membrane (diaphragm) pump used for emptying latrines.

Synonym: sludge pump

Indications

Hand operated diaphragm pump
• Aluminium casing and light-weight base
• Suction and delivery hoses with Guillemin connections
• Strainer - to prevent debris from entering the pump
• Max suction head 6 m, max delivery head 6 m
• Max flow rate: 135 l/min

Instructions for use

The performance of a desludging pump will always be limited by two factors that are common in latrines:
1) The fluid being too thick or heavy to flow
2) Debris in the sludge blocking the inlet

The equipment could also be used for pumping out sediment from a flocculation tank at a water treatment installation.
