Instructions for use

Non-sterile topical spray solution, delivered via a pump fitted with a non-sterile, single-use plastic nozzle (approx. 120 mm), intended for single-patient use.

Remove the protective cap from the nozzle and attach it to the valve. Each activation of the metering valve delivers 10 mg of lidocaine. The number of sprays required depends on the size of the area to be anaesthetised.

Each bottle is supplied with one single-use nozzle. Additional nozzles, specific to Xylocaine 10mg Spray® (SDDCNOZZ120), must be ordered separately.

The 10% lidocaine spray provides rapid and deep anaesthesia of the mucous membranes, lasting approximatively 10-15 minutes. Onset of anaesthesia occurs within 1-3 minutes, depending on the surface area applied.

Precautions for Use

Avoid contact with the eyes. If the spray accidentally reaches the eyes, rinse immediatelt with plenty of water.

Do not spray on the cuff of the endotracheal tube, as this may cause small perforations, resulting in leaks and loss of cuff pressure.

Do not share or reuse nozzles between patients, even onº the same patient, to prevent cross-contamination.

This product is non-sterile and should not be used for procedures requiring aseptic technique.

Do not use for lubricating urinary catheters (use water-based sterile unidose lubricant - SMSULUBRW05S or sterile water) or gastric tubes (use drinking water).
