Definition

A manually-operated, general-purpose device designed to support a patient in a seated position; it includes a back rest that reclines for patient comfort. The chair is intended to be used in a variety of settings including recovery from minor procedures, during convalescence, while donating blood, or while receiving chemotherapy.

The head section and foot rest are not designed to withstand the total weight of a person (do not sit on it).

Maintenance

Upholstery: clean with soapy water only (solvents proscribed). Can be disinfected using products without abrasive material. Frame: clean with soapy water only (solvents proscribed) without abrasive material.
