Wide-band VHF antenna for base station.

Allows omni-directional transmission and reception over a wide range of frequencies.

Before installing the antenna, the radio must be turned off and the power cable must be disconnected.

Instal the antenna at the top of a mast, as high as possible.

You may use a mast on which a folded dipole HF antenna is already installed, provided there is no contact between the 2 antennas.

The antenna can be attached to the mast in two ways with the mounting kit supplied:

either at the top of a 40 - 54 mm diameter mast (the connecting cable runs inside the mast)
or laterally at the end of a 20 - 54 mm diameter mast (the connecting cable runs outside the mast); in this case, attach the cable to the mast to prevent the connector carrying the weight of the cable

Be careful when raising or lowering a mast equipped with an antenna, as the radials of the antenna are easily damaged.
