LIGHTNING-SURGE PROT. type 3 (Dehn924389) 2P/3kA, flush-mnt

Form

This SPD provides Type 3 protection for terminal equipment in 230 V AC systems, using a compact in-line design with integrated wires and an acoustic fault indicator. It is intended for flush-mounted installations, cable ducts, and device boxes, offering fast response and low protection levels.

  • nominal voltage (UN): 230 V AC

  • maximum continuous operating voltage (Uc): 255 V AC

  • voltage protection level (Up): ≤ 1.25 kV (L–N), ≤ 1.50 kV (L/N–PE)

  • short-circuit withstand (ISCCR): 1 kA

  • nominal discharge current (In): 3 kA (8/20 µs)

  • SPD type / class: type 3 / class III (IEC 61643-11)

  • total discharge current (Itotal): 5 kA (8/20 µs)

  • number of poles: 1 (L + N + PE lead wires)

  • dimensions: 36 × 46 × 19 mm

  • weight: 24 g

Per piece.

Fit

  • installation location: flush-mounted boxes / cable ducts / indoor terminal equipment

  • recommended back-up fuse / MCB: max. 16 A (type B)

  • AC system compatibility: 230 V AC L–N / L–PE / N–PE

  • mounting type: in-line installation with integrated wires

  • IP protection: IP20 (when installed)

  • max wire size: fixed 1 mm² integrated connection leads

Function

The surge protective device (SPD) protects terminal equipment from transient overvoltages caused by switching operations or indirect lightning effects.
Using compact Type 3 protection with integrated wiring, it provides fast response in L–N and L/N–PE modes while limiting the residual voltage to safe levels for sensitive devices.
The device includes an acoustic fault indication to alert the user in case of end-of-life or failure.
