LIGHTN-SURGE PROT t.1+2 (Dehn900070) 2P/1200Vdc, modular

Form

Combined lightning current and surge arrester for use in photovoltaic power (PV) supply systems up to 1200 Vdc.
Fault-resistant Y-circuit prevents damage to the surge protective device in case of insulation faults in the generator circuit.

  • SPD type 1 + type 2
  • max. PV voltage: ≤ 1200 V
  • short-circuit current rating: 10 kA
  • terminal size: 1 - 35 mm²
  • DIN rail mountable

Dimension: 90 x 72 x 66 mm

Weight: 509 gram

Per piece.

Fit

Fits all electrical distribution and control boards with 35 mm DIN rail where surge protection is required.

Universally applicable in earthed and unearthed PV systems.

Grounding conection (earthing) has to be done with min. 16 mm² copper wire.

Function

Surge protection devices (SPDs) connect all active and protection wires at the site where they are installed. They constantly monitor the voltage between active wires, and between active wires and the earthing.

In case of voltage surges they create a short-circuit between the concerned conductors. This short circuit reduces the voltage surge to an acceptable value.

SPDs employed as part of the structure's fixed installation are classified according to the requirements and loads on the installation sites as surge protective devices Type 1, 2 and 3 (or class I, II, III) and tested according to IEC 61643-1.
