Therapeutic Action

Broad-spectrum bis-diguanide antiseptic, antimicrobial skin cleanser

Solution of chlorhexidine (derived from biguanides) in an excipient: cationic surfactant.

Indications

Antisepsis and cleansing of wounds in patients where the use of polyvidone iodine is contraindicated:

  • severe malnourished patients with skin lesions
  • children over 5 years of age with extensive wounds (> 5% of body surface)
  • patients with intolerance to iodine or thyroid dysfunction

Instructions for use

Scrub solution

Do not dilute. Use as normal soap.

Use with 0.9% NaCl and sterile compresses.

Rinse thoroughly with 0.9% NaCl after cleansing.

Precautions for Use

To be used only during the cleansing phase of the dressing procedure.

Avoid contact with eyes, brain, meninges, eyes and middle ear.

Do not use with soap or any other class of antiseptic, such as polyvidone iodine (incompatibility).
