Instructions for use
Always enquire about local authorizations to be obtained.
Wide band, duplex mode, and front panel programming allow the communication with other operators (except if they use UHF equipment), and the use of a repeater.
Radios are pre-programmed on standard frequencies, for immediate use.
NEVER transmit without antenna.
The antenna of the handset is fragile and is not a carrying handle. The handset range depends on environmental conditions, and is 8 km maximum.
ALWAYS USE THE PROTECTIVE SOFT CASE SUPPLIED WITH THE HANDSET.
The antenna of the base station should be erected as high as possible. The base station range depends on the antenna height, and is 30 km maximum. The base station should ideally be placed in the middle of the site, with a permanent operator in charge of relaying the messages, in order to extend the communication network.
For special situations (longer distance, repeater...), please contact your technical department.
Precautions for Use
The kit does not include the antenna mast which should be purchased locally or ordered separately (see related articles below).
Packaging
Aluminium suitcase, to be transported as hand luggage.
